JAI JOHN WALKER- DRUMS & BACKUP VOCALS

Jai John Walker has played the drums in a band since 1970 with Two Bucks & Change and Jammer. He was the opening act drummer for two national acts, Budgie & Horselips.  He played drums across the Midwest states with Central New York based bands, Two Bucks and Change & Boss Tweed. His recent bands include Raeven and Mojo Combo. When not behind a drum kit, he is currently and in the past a chef in the Syracuse NY, Burlington Vt, and Raleigh NC areas. Creating music and great food, allow him to express himself, evoke emotions, and bring people together. 

MIKE BURNS- BASS GUITAR & BACKUP VOCALS

Mike Burns has been an electric bass guitar player and backup vocalist in genres including Jazz,
R and B, Country, Folk, Blues, Show Tunes and Rock professionally since 1973.  He is most widely
known for his playing with Florida’s Vickie Lee and  Loose Change Band during their 1987 Norwegian tour.
 Mike has had experience as a studio musician recording with Kenny Derr's First Take, The John Reilly Band,  Diana Jacobs Band, Funky Blu Roots,  and MOJO COMBO. Most notable, Mike was part of the Diana Jacobs Band 2018 Sammy Award winning “GOOD METTICINE” Album playing bass and co- writing several original songs. Mike’s more recent bass projects include  Miller Jazz Band, Soul Slappers, Rat Pack Review, Robin Munn’s Raeven, Mella-Morphosis and Mojo Combo.

CHRISTOPHER AMES-LEAD VOCALS & GUITAR

Christopher Ames has been singing lead vocals and playing guitar since 1980, with over 23 years on the road as a solo performer. He’s brought his talent and energy to bands like the Christopher Ames Band, BeatleCuse, the Parlaphones, Surf School, the Cuban Heels, and now to the Mojo Combo. Known for his stage presence and love for all things red (guitars, amps, and pedals) Christopher blends seasoned musicianship with a passion for classic rock, hidden gems and soulful melodies that leave a lasting impression.
